One of our favorite things to print in the studio is pieces that allow us to explore our 19th century type collection. That's right, actual metal and wood type that's over 100 years old and still print worthy! This is one of a series of 'artistic prints', or pieces that mimic the style of the late 1800's, yet bring in a little bit of modern sentimentality.
It's printed in three subtle overlapping colors: light brown, aqua and a hint of mustard yellow. The Illinois in the background is printed from a newly created wood block. Perfect for the Illinois boosters in your life!
Measures 5x7" and is printed on 100% recycled card stock with slight speckles in it.
