Open House Chicago is a citywide event sponsored by the Chicago Architecture Center every October. Unique locations are open to the public in ways they generally aren’t, with architecture and Chicago enthusiasts showing up for adventures. Starshaped has been part of OHC for years and I was asked to create art for the event in 2024.
The 9×12” print is created from ornaments in the studio and hints at the different types of structures throughout the city. It’s printed in red and light blue on soft cotton cardstock. An edition of 200 was made, with 100 at the CAC and 100 at Starshaped; the ones sold in my shop also benefit the CAC. Edition is nearly sold out so grab one today!
