Woman in Print - Individual Print
Woman in Print - Individual Print
Woman in Print is the fourth print in my typographic memoir, The City is my Religion. The text is pulled from 20 years of comments made to me by men about running the studio and is set in the eponymous typeface designed by Elizabeth Friedlander. The ornaments are my designs and are both pantagraph cut by Geri McCormick at Virgin Wood Type and cast by Jessie Reich at Three Ton Bridge Type Foundry. They are assembled in a quilt pattern as a nod to a craft traditionally associated with women.
The print measures 17x11” and is on Mohawk Superfine cover weight paper. It comes with a copy of the offset printed ‘blueline’ that explains all of the different elements.
