Nothing is Normal
Nothing is Normal
Senator Elizabeth Warren summed up an overwhelming feeling going into a new administration in 2025. I’ve been thinking about it a lot as a reminder that nothing is normal right now, and that feeling is the catalyst for moving forward against bad odds. I suspect this will be the first in a series of prints in the forthcoming months in an attempt to process the terrible things happening to people we love.
The prints are 5×7” and made with rustic wood type. They’re printed with black ink on whatever white/off-white cardstock has been sitting around the shop (we use it all or recycle it!) They’re selling for $10, with $7 from each print going to a non-profit listed below. The rest keeps the studio afloat.
Choose an org to donate to with your print purchase:
The American Association of People with Disabilities
The AAPD works tirelessly to promote the well-being of those with disabilities who deserve to live as fully as those without.
The Trevor Project
With queer kids under attack, this offers them a safe place to safely talk with people that understand them.
The Southside Birth Center
The maternal mortality numbers for Black mothers are abysmal. This wonderful group is working towards a freestanding birth center to change that.
Planned Parenthood of Illinois
Since the fall of Roe v. Wade, PPIL has been on the front lines of helping pregnant people from around the midwest with a full range of services.
Or help us out with Jo’s medical bills… chronic illness in the US is quite pricey.
